I recently enjoyed a tranquil escape at Island Beach Bungalow in Gili Trawangan, and it was just what I needed to recharge. Nestled away from the noisy streets, my cozy bungalow was a haven of comfort, complete with a lovely terrace overlooking the inviting pool. The staff, especially Andy, were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help with everything from laundry to offering tips on local dive spots, which I really appreciated as a marine biologist. Breakfast was delightful, with options like eggs and pancakes served fresh to kickstart our mornings. Plus, having free bike rentals made exploring the island's stunning coastline easy and fun. I left rejuvenated, with wonderful memories and an eagerness to return!
